THESE RULES AND REGULATIONS ARE FOR THE BENEFIT OF EVERY RESIDENT LIVING IN SELKIRK LAKE CAMPGROUND. ANY PERSON VIOLATING THESE RULES AND REGULATIONS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE CAMPGROUND WITHOUT A REFUND OF ANY KIND.
SEASON
Season runs May 1st to Sept 30th Of each year.
The park is closed for the OFF SEASON Oct. l st - April 30 th of each year.
Rent must be received by the manager by May 1st or a 2% cumulative charge per day late will be enforced. Rates Rates for sites vary and can be confirmed by contacting the campground office.
MAKE PAYMENT
Payments may be in the form of cashiers check, bank money order or personal check made out to Dolores Rohloff 8929 N. 14th St Kalamazoo, MI 49009
BAD WEATHER
No refunds will be given for any weather related problems.
RETURNED CHECKS
There will be a $40 processing fee for all returned checks.

CHECK IN/OUT TIMES
CHECK-IN
Check-in time is between 3 PM and 6 PM. If you are unable to check-in during this time period, please call us in advance to make arrangements.
CHECK-OUT
Check-out time is 1 PM. Upon leaving, please inspect your campsite. Place trash in the dumpster on Raymond Blvd. on your way out.
UTILITY HOUSE KEYS
One key will be issued to you. A $15.00 charge per key will be assessed for lost or unreturned keys.

SITE OCCUPATION NUMBERS
A campsite is limited to one camping unit and one family consisting of up to two adults and all children 17 years old or younger living at home at that time. There will be a $20.00 per night charge for any additional tent that is on your lot. Extra tents must be preapproved. Any individual that is age 18 years or older staying overnight on your lot will be charged $5.00 per night, there will be a charge of $2.00 per night for younger guest excluding your grandchildren. The campsite is only for the use of the family that rented it. No subletting of your camper is permissible. No persons allowed over night without an adult that rented the site present. Do not leave minor's (under 18) in campground without an adult sponsor. Let the office know who the sponsor will be.

SELLING YOUR TRAILER
As of October 1, 1998 you may not sell your camper on your lot, but if the person that wants to buy your camper is on the waiting list and no other current residents in the campground want to move on to your spot than you may sell it to that person. Also, upon permanent departure ( vacancy from the lot), the lot will be offered to the next individual on OUR waiting list. Rental is not transferable to anyone including family members.

QUIET HOURS
Please observe the quiet hours between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Hours are extended to 12:00 midnight on July th. All radio, television and stereo volumes must be kept low. All minors must be at their own site at quiet hours.

BEHAVIOR
Inappropriate behavior such as loud and/or vulgar language and/or drunkenness is strictly prohibited. Guests evicted for violating property or rules will forfeit any money paid.

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
Each camper must have a fire extinguisher for their own safety. There are three park fire extinguishers. One is located at the swimming beach, one is at the north end and one is in the laundry room. Please make yourself aware of their locations for quick response to fire hazards. The fire extinguishers are check every year by Max’s Fire Extinguishers Company, Kalamazoo, MI.

SITE CLEAN UP
The space under and around your camper is to be kept clean at all times. Your lot is to be kept mowed and free of unsightly growth and debris. Winter and Spring clean up is to be COMPLETED BY MEMORIAL DAY OF EACH YEAR. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS. Management will hire the cleaning of your lot at your expense if not done by the above said date. The current site cleaning fee is $50.00. There will be NO dumping of leaves, weeds or tree limbs in our dumpsters or the back of your camper or against the hill side. Everyone has to take care of their own rubbish. There will be a charge of $25.00 to anyone disposing of rubbish anywhere other than the clearing provided at the south end of the park (please take rubbish as far back in the clearing as possible).
THERE WILL BE NO BURNING OF LEAVES IN THE CAMPGROUND. Please check your site daily and when departing for rubbish and clutter.

CAMPER WASHING
Campers may be washed during the hours of 10:00AM to 12:00 Noon and 2:00PM to 4:00 PM. There will be no washing of automobiles, boats or any transport vehicle. SKIRTING Seasonal campers may not have skirting or permanent rooms built onto it per Michigan State Law.

PORCHES, PATIOS, AND DECKS
You may have net porches. You may build a patio providing management approval has been given.

PATIOS MUST BE REMOVABLE
This means no concrete foundations allowed. All structures must be free standing above grade. Please see the MI-DEQ rules about this issue. If for any cause access to the area under or around you deck is hindered by its location, management has the right to have you remove the structure for ingress and egress to the site.

LAWN AND FLOWER WATERING
No watering of lawns and landscape from the parks water supply unless you have park management approval.

TOTE TANKS
Empty your tote tanks during hours of 9am to 12 Noon, 1pm to 6pm, and 8 to 11 pm.
YOU MUST USE AN EXPANDABLE SEWER HOSE stuck into the dump station inlet. NO OPEN DUMPING OF TOTE TANK CONTENTS. You are responsible to clean the dumping station area before returning to your campsite
.
GRAY WATER PAILS
All gray water pails must be dumped and cleaned out before leaving for home.

SEWER HOOK UPS
The campers that have sewer hook ups at this time, we will not promise if a new sewer tank will be put back on that lot should repairs become necessary.

CLOTHES LINES
No cutting, injuring, defacing into live trees. All clothes lines can be tied from tree to tree. NO OBJECTS MAY PENETRATE INTO THE TREES

PHONE
A phone is available at the campground office for local and emergency calls only. Guest may use their mobile phones or a credit card for long distance phone calls.

LAUNDRY
Guests are welcome to use laundry facilities in the campground utility house. These are coin operated ($1.00 Load). Change is available at the campground office. Please bring your own laundry soap and softener.

MAINTENANCE
All equipment in the campground should be in working order. Please report any inoperative equipment to our office. Every reasonable effort will be made to promptly repair the same. No refunds will be made for inoperative equipment, appliances or their mechanical failure.

ENTRY INTO CAMPSITE OR PROPERTY
Entry into campsite or property may be necessary from time to time by authorized personnel. Every effort will be made to minimize these entries connected with repair, care and maintenance of the property.

CONSTRUCTION
We cannot predict construction plans in the area and therefore can not be responsible for any construction that may be occurring near or in the campground. No compensation or moves to other properties will be considered.

DAMAGE
Do not intentionally destroy, deface, impair or remove any part of the Property, equipment, furniture or furnishings in or around the campgrounds.

SPEED LIMIT
All vehicles operated within the park must observe a 5 mph speed limit. This is for the safety of everyone in the campground. There will be No riding of bikes, skate boards and toys on the hill into the campground on Raymond Blvd. Bicycles, skate boards, and scooters are to observe the speed limit and not be a threat to other campers or their property. They are not to be ridden after dark.
PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR THE LITTLE CHILDREN AND REMIND VISITORS TO DRIVE SLOW.

PARKING
Two cars per site Monday through Thursday. Only one vehicle per site on Friday (beginning at 6:00PM),Saturday (all day) and Sunday (until 6:00PM). Exceptions will be holidays (Only one car per site). All other vehicles may be parked in front of the barn and by the farm house on the grass, but remain at lease 50 feet from the barn. Car repairs nor other unsightly projects in the campground (without permission from management.)

VEHICLE REGISTRATION
All vehicles including boats, pontoons, jet skis, golf carts and trailers must be registered at the office. Please do not leave any boat trailers or vehicles on the grass by the barn during the week so we can cut the grass. All motorized vehicles driven in campground must be currently licensed and insured.

RECREATIONAL VEHICLES
Unless specifically authorized in writing, all terrain vehicles are not allowed at properties, or in driveways, garages or elsewhere at the property. Violators will be charged a fee of $50 per occurrence and the vehicles will be towed at the guests expense.

GOLF CARTS
You are welcome to bring your golf cart to travel on the driveways owed by the Campground. Please don't drive in the mobile home park. Stay on driveways and drive at a slow, safe, and cautious speed. Driving golf carts on county roads is unlawful. All golf carts are to be operated by an adult with a valid drivers license. Operation of golf cart is done at your own risk.

PROPANE CYLINDERS
All bottled gas cylinders are to be placed on the outside of the camper at least five feet from the entrance, securely fastened and adequately protected from the weather. The STATE OF MICHIGAN requires you to secure your cylinders.

WATER HOSES AND ELECTRICAL CORDS
The Department of Environmental Quality requires that all water hose, and electric cords that are not rated for burial must be above ground.

ELECTRICITY USE
If your site has a electric meter electricity will be charged according to Consumers Power rates. Meters are read monthly by campground staff. The campground is on Commercial rates. We charge what Consumers Power charges us. We do not charge anything extra. You'll have 30 days to pay your electricity bill. Failure to pay your bill in 30 days will result in a 25% carrying charge per month.

GARBAGE DISPOSAL
Garbage is to be disposed of in a tied plastic bag and placed in the dumpster within the park. If you clean fish, please bury the remains in the woods or put them in 2 tightly sealed plastic bags and dispose of them in the approved garbage containers. All large items have to be taken to a waste disposal area at your place of permanent residence.
IF YOU ARE CAUGHT BRINGING RUBBISH FROM HOME AND PUTTING IT IN OUR DUMPSTER YOU WILL BE ASKED TO MOVE OUT.

OUTDOOR FIRES
There is a place designated for making a campfire. Before lighting any fire, check with the office regarding fire regulations or restrictions. Do not make a large fire that can cause damage to nearby property. Before leaving the area pour water on all fires, to ensure they are completely out. Management is not responsible for any damage, destruction or injury you or your visitors cause. Help stop the spread of Emerald Ash Bore. Don't move fire wood.

FIRE ARMS/BOWS
No discharge of firearms, paint ball guns or air guns allowed in the campground without permission.

SERVICE BUILDING
Please accompany small children 10 years old and younger to the restroom. THIS IS NOT A PLAY ROOM. There will be absolutely NO SMOKING in either restroom or laundry room.

SWIMMING
There is swimming at your own risk during daylight hours according to the beach rules posted. NO SMOKING OR GLASS CONTAINERS within the beach area. ATTN: NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY No swimming after dark No Swimming off or near the boat docks on the sites next to the beach. No throwing debris, rocks, etc., in the lake No fishing in the swimming area. No boats or jet skis in the swim area Don't use flotation rafts or mattresses outside the buoyed area No children in swim area unattended. Adult supervision of minors in the swimming area is your responsibility

BOATS
You are welcome to bring your boat. Please be aware of Michigan DNR and Selkirk Lake specific boating laws. There is a public boat landing on the south end of the lake. NO WAKE FROM 7:30 PM to 11:00 AM. Traffic goes counter clockwise. Don't stop in or block the narrows between the lower and upper sections of the lake. Special boating restrictions for Selkirk lake per MI DNR.

BOAT DOCK
It would be nice if you would share your dock with another camper as space is limited for those not camping on the lake shore. Please be a good neighbor. Keep your docks in a safe condition. This is your responsibility. Your guest may bring a boat or water vehicle during a visit, but it may not be left behind when leaving for home.
BOAT STORAGE
There's a $25.00 fee for boats and or trailers stored over the winter on Selkirk property.

BOAT TRAILERS
All boat trailers must be taken home or may be stored across from the main house in the woods with permission, but you have to take the responsibility for your trailers. Trailers left on campground property must be registered at the office.

BOAT LIFTS
No boat lifts allowed.
SWIM RAFTS
No swim rafts allowed.
DOMESTIC ANIMALS
Pets are not allowed to run loose. This is a State of Michigan Law. Such animals shall be kept tied or on leashes while outside the camper at all times. Tenants with loud pets will be asked to remove the animal from the premises. No animals are allowed in the swimming area, tied to trees, or any electrical or water outlets. No walking of dogs through the mobile home park. You may walk your pets along 127th Ave. Dispose of all feces and containers used to collect waste in the campground dumpster.

SMOKING
Please dispose of cigarettes accordingly. Do not drop them in the campground. Please help us with this matter. Show people you care.

GROUP GATHERINGS
Group gatherings are welcome, but there will be a charge of $3.00 per visitor over six (6) people at one campsite at one time. This does not include visitors that are already camping in our campground. Campsites cannot be combined and/or guests total distributed over campsites. This does not include over night guests.

AREAS, COTTAGE & MOBILE-PARK
Other rules apply for geographic areas, rental cottage & mobile-park. Nothing shall be affixed permanently to the site and must be made movable at the campers expense, whenever the owners deem necessary. Selkirk Lake Campground is not responsible for loss, stolen items, or damage to persons or property while on the premises. The principal camper is responsible for their camping family and all guests.

FIREWORKS
"consumer fireworks" or "1.4G." ADULT SUPERVISION IS REQUIRED. NO FIREWORKS NEAR THE BARN. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO PROPERTY OR PERSON AND WILL NOT CLEAN UP ANY DEBRIS FROM THE FIREWORKS. THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

* * * * WINTER STORAGE * * *
There’s a $150.00 personal property storage fee. This is to be paid at the beginning of your first season’s tenancy. This fee will be refunded by Nov. 1st if you remove all personnel possessions by Sept. 30th of that year. If you leave possessions on the property for the winter and you don’t rent a lot the following year you will forfeit you personnel property winter storage fee. All current tenants will pay this fee for the 2012 season.

ITEMS LEFT BEHIND
We cannot be held responsible for items left in the campground. Please double check your site for personal items prior to departure. If we are asked to return items to you they will be returned C.O.D.

OFF SEASON ACCESS
If for any reason you need access to your personnel property during the off season please contact the manager to make arrangements for access to the park. There's no overnight occupancy of the property during the OFF SEASON. Emergencies dial 911

Note: We don't tolerate any illegal substances or excessive drinking. Campers and guest that fail to follow the rules will either be asked to leave or be removed from the premises. Without refund!!!

OTHER INFO
Camping fees subject to change without notice. Camping rates do not include Deposits Camping rates for seasonal do not include electricity. All information is subject to errors, omissions or revisions and is not warranted.

WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS
Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
